Postponed

Well, I have been cooking and taking pictures to share.
But, I just do not have the time this month to get posting.
Between sick kids and a tooth issue with me, PLUS every day activities after school, the time is not here.
SOOOO...I say October lol.
we will be done twice a week swimming lessons and I have will more time.
Until then, I continue experimenting in the kitchen. And, I have to say the first time in a LONG time I was not happy with one of my recipes lol...wow

Passion for Food

I have always loved to cook. I can't even remember the age when my parents started letting me cook, but soon after I was cooking dinner for them and their friends.
One great memory was cooking Chinese food for them...and the rave reviews. I have to say Chinese food is one of the most time consuming things to make lol. But, homemade is well worth it!

I am a stay at home mom for now. I am a LPN who has worked in many areas, and will continue to work to keep up my skills and license. My priority is my three children and husband. I want to be able to provide a loving home...and to me that involves a great meal.

I cook most of the time without a recipe. I love to experiment and try new things. I have to admit most of my knowledge has come from watching countless hours of the food network lol :D
For awhile, I started to get "lazy" with my cooking, as I just had our third child. I had NO time OR energy to put into making my meals. So, everything was simple and quick.
No, I do not think that simple and quick are bad, but it took the joy out of cooking for me. I was cooking because I had to, not because I wanted to.

Now, that my youngest is "starting" to behave better lol, I have found the desire to start cooking again. Oh, how I have missed it. Cooking makes me happy. Hearing from my family that they love my food, warms my heart.

I decided that I wanted to share some of my dishes with you. I know a few people who also love to cook and wanted to hear what I have been making, for inspiration as well :)

So, I am going to "try" and post 3 times a week, my new or successful dishes. I know some days I will not have the time for more then spaghetti and meatballs, and that's OK.

So welcome to my blog :D A mostly stay at home moms new adventure in cooking!! Here is hoping my kids learn to like new things too lol.
So far the few dishes I have made were successful.....and they included spinach and brussel sprouts! I never thought that my almost 6 year old would be asking for seconds of brussel sprouts lol.

I have a few dishes (pictures will be joining my posts of course) to share already. I wanted to wait until I had a few before starting this blog.

Happy Cooking!
